The brutal scene at the docks nearly gave Jax pause. While he wasn't a noble individual like Glenn, barbarism of this nature had no place. There was no struggle or glory to be had from killing these people or stringing up a display. Yet being the harbinger of their retribution wasn't his job today. His goal was to leave, regroup, and return, and that meant barreling through the risen deceased as quickly as possible. Jax hefts his weapon up and brings it down onto the first guard before quickly heaving it into a wide sweep. This was a larger group than he typically fought, but that couldn't be helped. Necessity required a brisk offensive.

Of course there had to be an obstacle like this, every moment they fought these risen bodies was a tempt at fate to be noticed by more of them. Following behind Jax's approach, Sorin kept in the giant's shadow and from the occupied shadow a solid ray of darkness cut across to one of the guards, slicing through as if a blade. Jax had already engaged three of the ones who had closed in on their escape, and those same revenants were Sorin's focus, to reduce their numbers advantage as swiftly as possible. Still, he would need to rely on Jax's toughness here, and so provided further ability to keep drinking down the vitality granting potion.

The attacks would strike the lumbering masses, able to parry a portion of the blow until the shadow and the impact pushed back the first among the four. This would cause them to lumber toward Jax first and foremost, the skill they possessed in life still showing itself as their blades would aim to strike through the defensive gaps and leave no room for defending oneself from them, as the first would be a blindingly swift strike that was then followed in tandem with several such attacks that left no room for escape once they had begun their string of attacks. It would be a harrowing task to break loose from them and bring them down in their bid to escape.

The undead warriors still retained their skills even in death, and it was felt brutally so as unlike the brutish treants from before these foes were able to flex and weave around Jax's defensive prowess. The sheer number of them left a retreating combat back onto the boat an impossibility. Realizing this Jax doubled down on his efforts to cut them down. Continuing his efforts on as amny of them as he could, but paying extra attention to the shambling husk that Sorin had targetted. DEFENSE Jax has some DP but it's out getting some tea. Jax covered himself Jax got 24VP from Sorin

Sorin
Whatever necromancy animated these corpses, it did well to retain their skills in life. Their trained strikes contending with Jax's stature and skill, and making their numbers advantage ever more prominent. It was still the best he could do to stay in the shadow of the protector, until the time was right, administering medicine to bolster the giant's stamina further. Two additional drops of darkness began to float nearby the two joined in shadow against the risen, and a ray of darkness again shot forth snaking between the warriors to push back the one it struck before.

The attacks were still coming, dealing more damage thanks to Jax's measures as they would return in kind. Their prowess still allowed them to cut through the defenses, and it wouldn't be long before they would manage to fell the giant with their technique as things escalated further.

The situation was dire, far more so than he could have anticipated. Perhaps they spent too much time in the forest, but the situation here was already too far gone for them to do anything but fruitlessly run into soulless guards while scrambling for an escape. It was clear this was a battle they didn't have the opportunity to brute force, they needed a moment to escape before the scuffle was found out.
"City is done for anyway." he mutters.
Stepping out from Jax's guard, the black orbs which floated about the two encircled Sorin, floating slowly in a circle about him. In the span of a moment, the orbs each let out a flash of pale light one after another, and from his palm did he direct the beam not at the risen swordsmen but at their footing upon the docks. Sweeping his arm as he sustained the ray, he used it to cut into the dock where they stood and further down even to supports beyond. They wouldn't survive against these ghouls in a fair fight after all, banking on a supposed inability to swim.

Sorin's quick thinking to take out the support for the docks was well-placed as it took the foothold from the fighters and their own as well, casting them all into the waters. It was necessary as if it wasn't taken to this logical extreme at least one of the swordfighters would have remained unscathed and ready to battle against them as Jax was only ever able to attempt to stave off three of them at a time. While the water wouldn't kill them right away, it would give the duo enough time to swim themselves if they were able or if not to rely on Sorin's manipulation to carry them along. The noise would assuredly attract attention soon, so time was of the essence.
