'This was quite the show of force to say the least. It was going to be a defensive battle indeed for a time here. Feeling the magic taking effect, she threw her knife into the air as it vanished amidst the flurry of rain as from that a brief shadow was seen, littering the enemies with blades in multiple areas as her knife returned to her hand before their attacks could take place with the intent to neutralize their rush and spells before they took place and keep them all out of harm's way for a time longer. This was only the first wave among many that they would have to bring down this day.'

*Looked like it was time to get started. He would draw his sword and turn it in hand, gaze narrowing as he breathed in and then out. A single breath spared for the war of attrition to come. He would start his offense then and there, a statement to be made for all those who opposed them now as he let out a roar that would be drowned out by his very own strike. A rippling strike that sent out an explosion across the plains to reach the riders and mages alike and cast them all aside as the blades sent loose by Lucia through the magic would allow for them to fulfill this without the first set even being a threat, immediately planning to get to work on the ones that would very likely follow suit now that the first regiment had been eliminated. Whether they had been or not, the Claw would have continued their attack no matter what now that their forces were very clearly making a march across their territory.*

They had managed to launch a preemptive attack against the ones who tried to rush them down, eliminating the first wave before they could be a problem. Another near forty was on their way, allowing them time to mount their own offensive against them. The third wave could be heard right behind them, likely going to be following suit immediately after the second unit. Undoubtedly why this was described as a defensive battle, while they would be able to continue their march, they would be forced to fight on uneven terms for a time still.

The resulting explosions would disrupt the ranks, while the assassin would do her part to contribute to the defensive battle as well. With the next wave on the horizon as well, no doubt the incoming storm would be about to reach a crest that was desired. And the result of such a thing would be that they would have gained dominion over the field just as they desired. It was time to show them what a true storm looked like.*

'The next wave was upon them, making things known that the third would be following the second even if they weren't swift about finishing them off. The knife was tossed upward again, this time the next intent being made clear as the rain of blades would again strike their forces. Nature magic, the unity involved in combining spells, was centered around the core values of the two spells. Their ability to manipulate the storm was only so effective if their original spells put together to do so were dampened. This way even if they didn't have the upper hand right away with the attacks, they would be able to weather the storm that would come due to the venom damaging the concentration that the aniteers would normally not be suffering through to disrupt their abilities.'

As they surmised, the third regiment had arrived to bolster the ranks. And the magic was complete, allowing for what would be the storm that would utilize the ongoing empowered weather of the other mages. Just in time too, as the rainstorm was unleashed. With the proper planning, the original tempest was manipulated to be non-threatening to them, but otherwise an encompassing storm that would be able to reach their entire army gathered here while controlled to miss the riders that would fly in to attack. The next wave would also fly in alongside them, as the storm would intensify as the mages got to work, bringing forth a catastrophe that if left unchecked would decimate them all. With the plan secure, everything was set to tip the scales and turn the tides in their favor instead.

*The time had come. Seeing the storm begin to attempt to engulf them, he was reminded of not that long ago at Battla even. He breathed out, fog coming about despite the rain and fierce winds. The soldiers around him were worried, but confident that his plan wouldn't fail them. And then it would begin, the snowstorm that would turn their very storm against them. Wresting control over the ferocious storm, he would bring his sword along the air as the storm would move accordingly, twisting and turning as it engulfed all the enemies that threatened them while leaving their allies safe. Again, he would swing, sending the devastation further and again, sending it further still. It would continue for a time as he sent it to and from, devastating the plains they fought upon before he swung a final time, as the blizzard engulfed far and wide, turning what was the standard plains into a sight as if they had been in a long winter. He already knew what directions to give next, speaking to the soldiers and mages alike.*

It was a harrowing sight for those involved, as their tempest was turned into a blizzard that was amplified by their magics and those of the Fang Faction. The result was devastating, sweeping the field as the entirety of the plains was changed to the winter climate. The mages would be forced to work quickly as they had gone from being buffeted by rain to being engulfed in the frigid winter on top of the seasonal shift, the men and women in the army moving to work together as some pulled out equipment to better aid with this as they all prepared for what was to come. Their march toward Miedo would continue from here as they had managed to perform the feat demanded of them due to the strength of the royal bloodline. Could they ride this momentum to take another fortress? The last siege was premediated, so naturally this one would be more difficult to begin with. But as of now they held the advantage and swiftly tipped the scales at that.
