'The group was likely designed around a vanguard that gained support from the rear guard. How quaint. Her transform was invoked, claws on her hands resembling a hawk while talons for her feet, obtaining teal wings that were trimmed at the end with silver feathers. With her wings unfurled was a gust of wind that circled her, maintained for a time through the sheer strength used as it served as a wall between oncoming attackers and her while her preparations were taken care of.'

Transform: Can unleash their full state, tripling their stats. This requires one turn of no actions to be used.

Her assumption of their tactic was correct as the casters used their grimoires to conjure up wind to strengthen their own and to assault her in kind. The riders would stride forward, thrusting with their lances before rearing it around for a second strike as they sought to pincer her from both sides. The first ranger would be the first problematic one, as he fired a poison arrow that when it met its mark would cause one's senses to dull before he notched and fired another, the precision guiding it to be a critical strike against any unaware victim as the other rangers followed up and continued to unleash a hail of arrows upon the hawk.

'Their attacks wouldn't amount to anything as the wind met spear and other winds alike. It wasn't until one of the arrows got through that her control over it faltered, her vision growing hazy before another shot found her square in her right shoulder, hissing as she moved both her body and her left hand to grip at it but not remove it as several more grazed her. They were the problem as to be expected, but not the end-all-be-all to this equation. She would again wave her wings back and forth, two wind blades sent out just the same at both mages just as they desired to fire upon her. A mere prelude for what was to come soon.'

Looked like this one had a few tricks in their bag. But that wouldn't be enough to stop them now that the tempest she conjured up with her wings was out of their way. They would continue attacking the inhuman creature with wings before them, content to press their numerical advantage while they still possessed it as they would swiftly overwhelm this one as they had the others that fought against them on their way to this point.

'Being assailed by them was taxing to say the least. The wind would be used to manipulate her movements so that she wasn't as in control of them as she desired and while she sought to wrest control back the riders would engage with their lances. Without the wind wall their attacks along with the archers were much more detrimental, though this time the toxin from before wasn't in effect. How unfortunate for those involved then as they brandished their steel against them. She was brought down to a knee for a moment due to their assault, wings curling around her before she again unfurled them much as she had when this conflict began. This time the wind sent out was a vortex that ensnared all of those around her, pulling the air from them and casting them off from the cliffside and down to the abyss below should they be unfortunate enough to be unable to regain themselves from her attacks.'

The vortex had devastating effects, as half of their unit was hurled off the cliffside to plummet to their deaths below. If the riders tried to assist them, they would be turning their back to an enemy that would inevitably pursue them while they tried to help those who had likely perished in the winds alone. No, they stood their ground and fought this through. They would resume the pincer attack as the ranger loaded his shot, firing twice more as he aimed at the wing to try and hinder his opponent in some regard for their ranks that would engage her after them.

'That was much better. Still, it looked like it wasn't over just yet. Their spirits were damaged but not broken. She would use claw and talon to beat back their spears as again the venomous arrow that dulled the senses would find its mark. She was at least aware of it this time as she moved her wing and instead raised a claw to meet it instead to deflect the arrow painfully but not to its full effect. She would use the same arm to knock aside the two arrows lodged in her now that she wouldn't need to worry about exerting herself much more against this group at least as she began to gain altitude before she bolted off, blasting through one of the riders on her path to the archer as she outstretched her claw, aiming to take his head from his shoulders before she would double back to finish what she started with the riders as well.'

She shattered the formation and proceeded to decapitate the last ranger, leaving the two riders to their fates. All they could do now was continue the fight, urging their mounts back to battle to engage against the inhuman creature a final time. Much like the ranger they would have to consider those that followed their footsteps. The Claw would always return the favor for what was dealt to them. This time would be no different as they sought out what would be their final glories.

'That was the nail in the coffin. While the mounts were wielded by humans against them, they weren't anything that they needed to kill just because of that. The animals were prey in a different manner. She would focus her attacks on the riders of the mounts instead, beating back the attacks again as she brought a talon around to take the head from another's shoulders and her claws brought to bear in a swift motion to inflict a crucial blow to the next, knowing that the next attack decided it once and for all here.'

The final blow was to be struck. But the battle wouldn't quite be over yet, as another unit was on its way. She would have the option of preparing ahead of time for them this time, utilizing the fervor of battle to get a preemptive strike on them before they could join in and continue the fight against the next unit.

'Looked like the next wave would be upon her shortly. She should see about working with some of the others that remained in order to alleviate their burdens once she got through this next unit. She would begin to store the wind to unleash the next vortex from the very beginning, even if she would lack her usual defensive paradigm for when battles began due to utilizing the amount of energy required to transform to create the wall of wind that she often pulled forth with her wings.'

'They were here, planning to start things off fiercely to make up for the new wave of enemies as her wings again began to curl around her before she again unfurled them. The wind sent out was a vortex that ensnared all of those around her once more, pulling the air from and battering them as she flew along, striking the mage once more before she sent out another gust with her wing to send them back to earth. It was going to be a more taxing encounter since they were invigorated, but one that she should be able to come out ahead of so long as she kept a cool head about herself. She would need to levy her attacks amongst them before she let loose another fierce gale among them, ideally finishing several of them off as she had the first time.'

Her assault was rather successful, as the mage was battered and pushed to the very brink of his life as the others were all injured just the same and not needing much more of a push for their lives to be extinguished. She would still need to push the other a bit further if she planned to halt the wind spells in their entirety, but first would come withstanding their assault as the wind was set loose and the riders regained their positions before thrusting with renewed vigor all the while the archers unleashed another hail of arrows to rain down upon her.

'So far, so good. The real challenge would start from here on in. The wind blades were still harmless but allowed the riders to land a strike to her side as she winced in pain before the arrows and their attacks continued to take their toll. She was certainly different than others due to the experiences she endured, meaning she could take that much more punishment in kind. She would breathe in and out to focus on anything but the throbbing in her body as she moved out once more, striking at the mages once more as she planned to eliminate one of them here and now before she would start to focus on the rangers next.'
